It’s Raining Turkeys Thanks to Law Firm

At the end of the day on Tuesday, Nov. 22, the law firm of Inserra | Kelley | Cooper | Sewell, Injury Lawers, will have given away 2,500 frozen turkeys in five years, 500 each year. The firm started Lawyers Against Hunger – Fight Hunger in the Heartland in 2012, giving turkeys to families identified by various charitable organizations and Food Bank for the Heartland.
This year’s three-hour giveaway was at the Family Fare Supermarket parking lot at Saddle Creek and California Streets, with cards lining up well in advance of the start time. Chilly rain marked the day, but that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the firm’s members and their family helpers.
“We hope to build on the success of this event again this year, and take Lawyers Against Hunger to additional cities across our state next year,” partner Craig Kelley said. Kelley said he hopes other law firms in Omaha and throughout Nebraska will join in their efforts.
“Just think how many we could impact,” Kelley said.
