Sophie joined Inserra | Kelley | Cooper | Sewell as a legal assistant in 2019 only days after graduating from high school. She is currently working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and plans to graduate from University of Nebraska Omaha in May 2023. Her experience as a legal assistant has helped her grow her organization, communication, and leadership skills that are necessary components of a future teacher. At the firm, Sophie works alongside Senior Paralegal Randy Mendlik in the medical treatment process by handling medical bills and working with insurance companies. She assists Randy with the settlement process as well by communicating with all insurance companies and medical providers involved in a case to confirm whether all bills are paid and all subrogations are handled.

Born and raised in Omaha, Sophie has a family of seven, including 3 sisters and 1 brother. Her parents have worked in insurance since before she was born, and her older sister is currently working towards becoming a Doctor of Occupational Therapy while her other siblings are still in school. Sophie’s family is an immense gift to her as they all support her in her endeavors. In her free time, she crochets clothes and blankets. She is also an avid reader and enjoys watching tv shows and movies with her friends and family.
