Meet Dave
Dave Stubstad grew up in the Minneapolis metropolitan area. He graduated from The College of St. Thomas in 1988 and from Hamline University School of Law in 1995. Prior to enrolling in law school, Dave was a police officer. After graduating from law school, he joined a Minneapolis law firm where he practiced personal injury civil litigation. In 1998, Dave moved to Omaha to join a large law firm where he again practiced personal injury civil litigation. In 2018, Dave was hired by one of his clients as Managing Attorney of the Des Moines, Iowa Staff Counsel Office where he handled personal injury civil litigation throughout the state.
Dave is now the Demand Attorney at Inserra | Kelley | Cooper | Sewell. His job as the Demand Attorney is to review all the bills, records, and other documents, and then compose the settlement demand letters to send to insurance companies. Dave brings a unique perspective to helping clients in personal injury cases after working as a police officer investigating motor vehicle accidents, working for insurance companies for more than 20 years and as lead attorney in many jury trials throughout Nebraska and Iowa. He is a member of both the Nebraska and Iowa State Bar Associations.
He is the father of two adult children and resides in the Elkorn area. When not working, Dave enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.
